Summary 19-27

It was winter and  Grant Wiggins  made the kids make a play for Christmas. The day of The play he keeps thinking of how since he has been in Bayonne he has seen the same play and how not much  has changed . Then Vivian goes to Grant's house to meet his aunt and her friends. Then Grant finds out from the Sheriff  the day set to execute Jefferson then Grant visits Jefferson and asks him if he wanted anything and he asks him if he would like a radio. Grant then takes the radio to Jefferson and the radio gives Jefferson something to do in the prison cell. The reverend , Miss Emma  and Grant's aunt get angry at Grant because Jefferson ignores them and only listens to his radio.Grant then visits Jefferson and leaves in better relations with him.
