Time Tracer

A Lesson Before Dying by Earnest J. Gaines takes place in Bayonne, Louisiana  in the 1940's. It was still a time when segregation still existed and African Americans were discriminated against. It was also the time after one of the biggest Wars in history where in the return f american soldiers their was a struggle by everyone in the nation to get jobs.
